TAKING ACTION

From first draft to a manuscript worth sharing.

Rewriting, feedback, formatting and publishing: turn your manuscript into a book ready to meet its readers.

Everything begins with an idea.

An idea rarely arrives with a plan. It appears in a conversation, a memory, or just before sleep. The important thing is not knowing what it will become, but giving it a place.

Recognize the spark

Notice what makes you react: an emotion, a strange detail, a recurring question. If an image stays with you long after you discover it, it may deserve a few lines.

Do not look for a grand story yet. Look for what makes you want to write.

Keep a trace

Choose one place to collect your ideas: a notebook or a note always within reach. Write down the scene, the exact words and how you felt. A few sentences are enough to find the spark again later.

Your turn · 3 minutes

Complete this sentence without stopping: “What if, one day...” Then add a character, a place and an obstacle.

Give it direction

Read your note again a few days later. What question does it ask? Who could live it? What would change for that person? You do not need every answer to write a first scene.

Your next story can begin with these few lines.

This idea deserves a first page.

Rediscover the joy of writing, one step at a time.
